Glass Wiped Film Distillation Unit

The Glass Wiped Film Distillation Unit is a high-precision molecular distillation system designed for the purification and separation of thermally sensitive compounds. Molecular distillation is widely regarded as one of the safest and most effective separation methods for compounds with low volatility, high boiling points, and thermal instability.

This system operates under high vacuum conditions, significantly lowering the boiling temperature of materials and allowing separation to occur at relatively low temperatures. The short residence time of materials on the heated evaporation surface reduces thermal degradation, making the process ideal for delicate compounds.

The wiped film design uses a PTFE scraper system to continuously spread material into a thin film across the heated surface, increasing evaporation efficiency and improving mass transfer. The borosilicate glass construction (3.3) provides excellent chemical resistance and allows operators to visually monitor the distillation process.
